Kontena 1.0 ASCII Art Logo Contest

Help us design a new ASCII art logo for the upcoming release of Kontena Container & Microservices Platform v1.0!

We are currently working hard to launch Kontena 1.0 by the end of this year. It's going to be great! Now, as part of this journey to 1.0, we want to invite our amazing community to design a new ASCII art logo that will be part of the 1.0 release. Keep reading to find out how to enter the Kontena CLI Logo Contest!

Your task is to re-imagine and re-design Kontena’s current ASCII art logo. The current logo looks like this:

Each person who submits a logo design will receive a super exclusive Kontena "Premium" T-shirt in return. You can get some design inspiration for your submission from here.

Kontena Logo ASCII Art Requirements

The main requirement is that your design should be your own original work and shouldn’t be copied from anyone else. Here are some other requirements:

  • The maximum height for the logo is 10 rows.
  • The maximum width for the logo should be something that fits nicely in a terminal window.
  • It's acceptable to use ANSI/VT100 color formatting, but you should also submit a pure-ASCII version of your logo design.
  • The logo must include Kontena's copyright information "(c) 2016 Kontena, Inc."

You can submit your entry as a pull request to our Github repository on GitHub. The deadline for submissions is November 28th, 2016. The winning entrant will be notified before the release of Kontena 1.0 via email. And of course, the winner's ASCII art will be part of the Kontena v1.0 release!
