Kontena Becomes SUSE Partner for Ready Made Packaging and Better Interoperability

Kontena further expanding platform support for wider enterprise adoption.

Predicting 2017 to be the year when enterprise adoption of containers really becomes wide & deep, Kontena continues to build our ecosystem partnerships that add to our continuous efforts in keeping Kontena as easy and pleasant of an experience as possible. Today we are announcing our partnership with SUSE and gaining early access to technologies such as SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, which is the second most used Linux server within the enterprise segment, and SUSE OpenStack Cloud. Our intention is to integrate Kontena with these platforms to make packaging and official technical support available in the near future.

SUSE is strongly committed to enabling containerization of workloads and has made Docker support available in their SUSE Linux Enterprise Server release 12, in addition to some other container environment value adds. Combined with Kontena container management platform, developers and DevOps will have access to a very easy and straightforward way of deploying and scaling their container environments across their Linux estate.

If you are interested in hearing more about Kontena's partnership with SUSE or if you have a complementary solution you'd like to integrate and co-market with Kontena, please send us an email to: sami@kontena.io.
